Lion King Broadway is a Disney Musical production, a story of a lion cub's journey to unfamiliar places on his adulthood and for the acceptance of his royal destiny. It is now Broadway's eighth longest-running show in history and one of the hottest shows of the century! Elton John was the creator for the music and with the help of Tim Rice who managed the lyrics. Hans Zimmer was the creator of the musical score with some choral arrangements by Lebo M. It was directed by Julie Taymor. Lion King Broadway was created based on the 1994 Disney animated film of the same name .
The new Disney story opens with a spectacular celebration in honor of Simba, the newborn prince. The animals of the land flock to Pride Rock, where the mystical baboon Rafiki crack open an egg-like gourd, dip his finger into the dark liquid, and anoints the little lion with a mark on his forehead.
The musical features actors in animal costumes as well as giant and hollow puppets. The production is also amazing and very fascinating because they used props and costume that is suited for every scene and characters.
